At VedaNu Wellness, we understand that how you feel about your body impacts every area of your life—from self-confidence to intimacy. Vaginoplasty is a highly personal procedure designed to restore or enhance the structure, tone, and appearance of the vaginal canal and surrounding tissue.
Whether due to aging, childbirth, or genetics, many women experience physical changes in the vaginal area that can lead to discomfort, lack of sensation, or self-consciousness. Vaginoplasty offers a safe, effective solution—helping you feel more like yourself again, inside and out.
Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure that tightens the vaginal canal by removing excess tissue and reinforcing surrounding muscles and structures. The result is improved tone, strength, and sensation in the vaginal area.
It may be performed on its own or in combination with procedures such as labiaplasty for more comprehensive rejuvenation.
Many women consider vaginoplasty due to physical changes following childbirth, hormonal shifts, or the natural aging process. Over time, the vaginal canal can lose elasticity and muscle tone, leading to diminished sensation, decreased confidence, or discomfort during intimacy. Some women also experience difficulty using tampons, increased friction with exercise, or a general feeling of looseness. Vaginoplasty offers a surgical solution to help restore structure, function, and self-assurance.
Vaginoplasty is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia or IV sedation. Surgery takes about one to two hours. During the procedure, the internal vaginal muscles are tightened and excess tissue is removed, creating a firmer, more supportive structure. The incisions are made internally and usually result in no visible scarring. Patients go home the same day with detailed post-op instructions and ongoing support from our surgical team.
The initial recovery period usually lasts one to two weeks, during which you may experience some swelling, soreness, or sensitivity. Most patients return to light activity within seven to ten days. To allow for proper healing, we recommend avoiding sexual intercourse, tampon use, and strenuous physical activity for approximately six weeks. Our team will provide you with detailed post-operative instructions, schedule follow-up visits to monitor healing, and offer scar management support if needed. Full results are generally visible within two to three months.
You may be a candidate for vaginoplasty if you’re in good overall health, have completed childbearing, and are experiencing physical or emotional discomfort due to vaginal laxity. Ideal patients are non-smokers with realistic expectations who are seeking to restore tone and confidence in their most intimate area. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your concerns in a safe, private environment and create a surgical plan tailored to your goals and anatomy.
While both labiaplasty and vaginoplasty are intimate surgical procedures, they serve different purposes and address distinct concerns. At VedaNu Wellness, we’re here to help you understand your options and guide you toward the treatment that best aligns with your goals—whether it’s aesthetic, functional, or both.
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure focused on reshaping or reducing the labia minora (inner lips) or labia majora (outer lips). Women often choose labiaplasty if they are experiencing discomfort due to elongated or asymmetrical labia—whether during exercise, intercourse, or while wearing certain clothing. It’s also commonly chosen for aesthetic reasons, especially if the patient feels self-conscious about the appearance of the labial tissue.
The procedure removes or reshapes excess tissue and is typically done under local or general anesthesia. Recovery is relatively quick, with most patients returning to light activity within a week and fully healed within four to six weeks.
Labiaplasty treats the external vaginal anatomy, specifically the lips of the vulva. It does not tighten the vaginal canal or affect internal sensation.
Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty, on the other hand, is a surgical tightening of the vaginal canal itself. This procedure is ideal for women who feel looseness or lack of sensation internally, often due to childbirth, aging, or weight changes. It involves removing excess vaginal tissue and tightening the surrounding muscles to restore tone, function, and sensation.
This surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia, and recovery can take several weeks. Most patients resume normal activities in one to two weeks, with full healing and return to intimacy around the six-week mark.
Vaginoplasty does not address the appearance of the labia or outer genitalia. If both function and appearance are a concern, labiaplasty and vaginoplasty can be performed together for a complete vaginal rejuvenation.
Which Procedure Is Right for Me?
If your concerns are related to the appearance or irritation of the labia, labiaplasty may be the best choice. If you’re looking to restore tightness, sensation, or internal tone, vaginoplasty may be more appropriate. In some cases, women benefit most from combining the two procedures for optimal aesthetic and functional results.
